Location & Facilities

The Department of Forest Science is housed in the Horticulture and Forest Science Building (HFSB), a modern building which is located on the west side of the main campus. This building was opened in 1984 and consists of several lecture rooms, teaching lab rooms, and research labs as well as the offices and special facilities required to serve the needs of the students and faculty. Greenhouses, local field research areas, and the extensive forests of East Texas are also available for research. Our Department conducts collaborative research in several other facilities and laboratories. Our Department shares the HFSB with the Department of Horticulture.
